Below you'll see optional offerings to enhance your retreat experience.
Sourcing Creativity from Grief, Emotion, and Pain with Kelly Towe
Kelly will hold two program sessions inviting conversation and reflection on the relationship between creative expression and emotional experiencing including grief processing. Participants are invited to join a Friday morning program session and Saturday evening fireside chat.
Kelly Towe is a licensed professional counselor from Chattanooga, TN. She owns Harbor Counseling and the Landing Cooperative and her main work is in trauma recovery, grief processing, and relationship care. Her own therapy work - combining her creative outlet in pottery and grieving all the things - has inspired a deep interest and respect for the power of pain and emotional engagement. She looks forward to any Folk School event and the connecting, calm and rest found at the Creative Retreat is her favorite.
Cost to participate is $20 total for both sessions.
Afternoon Yoga with Anna Redmill
Anna began her yoga journey in 2008 when she began healing herself after surviving a few months of cancer treatments. By implementing a daily yoga practice Anna realized how powerful yoga is for the body, mind and spirit. This inspired her to become a certified yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance in the spring of 2010. Since then Anna has been offering Hatha and restorative yoga to those in her community. When not teaching yoga you can find her with her horses riding through the wilderness and beyond!
Join Anna for a slow, nourishing practice from 4:00-5:00 Friday and Saturday. Sessions are $20 each.
